Medical technology manufacturer from Ulm transfers its product portfolio of blood barrier devices to ATMOS MedizinTechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Lenzkirch
(Ulm, May 2021) On May 17, 2021, the two family-run medical technology manufacturers signed the acquisition agreement as part of an asset deal. ulrich medical will now focus entirely on its successful product fields of spinal systems and contrast media injectors for CT and MRI. With ATMOS MedizinTechnik, the Ulm-based company has found a buyer whose portfolio perfectly suits the tourniquet devices.
“ATMOS is one of the world’s most renowned manufacturers of medical suction units and has the know-how and decades of experience to successfully continue and further develop the products,” Klaus Kiesel, Chief Executive Officer of ulrich medical, commented on the acquisition. “We are pleased to have found in ATMOS a buyer whose future strategy fits the products perfectly and with whom we know that the products are in good hands,” continues Christoph Ulrich, Managing Partner of ulrich medical.
In partnership agreement the tourniquet products are led at the beginning of ATMOS MedizinTechnik as ulrich medical products, manufactured and driven out thereby however already exclusively by ATMOS MedizinTechnik. In the medium term, the medical technology manufacturer from Lenzkirch in the Black Forest would like to turn them into its own product line, which it will then market worldwide.
